Sensors
On the plateau are a number of Lego bricks upright. The distance between these stones is equal to the distance that must be passed in order to the next (or previous) gears (picture left).

Above the stones is a pressure sensor on top (picture right). If the gear is properly used then the pressure sensor is not pressed by one of the stones. The sensor gives the value '0 'on to the computer. While the motor to "0" indicates it is by no switching going on (the acceleration is good on), so the engine power to maximum effect.

While switching gear
If the gears have not shifted far enough down than one of the stones in the pressure sensor. The sensor gives the value '1 'on to the computer. The movement mechanism remains in force until the sensor value '0 'passes, the engine will never drive the gear has not been used. This will prevent unnecessary wear and damage.
