Accelerator
The motor can be driven by an accelerator. This page explains how it is done, and its programming is explained.

The position of the accelerator is measured by an angle sensor (rotation sensor). This sensor is not directly connected with the accelerator, there are a number of gears between. The purpose of these gears is to move faster. The measured rotation in the sensor is much larger, making it more accurate.

At the accelerator is a pneumatic cylinder attached, it creates back pressure when the accelerator is pressed. Allows the amount of force required to press the pedal set. Also, this cylinder the pedal in position to hold.
